Scope and content |
Collection consists of the diaries of James A. Vaughan. Diaries contain brief daily entries concerning weather conditions and daily activities, including saw-milling, traveling to surrounding towns, taking orders for trees, planting garden crops, and picking strawberries and cranberries. Each diary contains monthly financial statements of Vaughan. Vaughn also describes a fishing trip on a boat; travels to Brier Island, NS; and a railroad tunnel being constructed in Massachusetts. |
