Photopcopies of bible records, genealogical sheets, receipts, and land records refer to the Sutton, Parks, Uzzell, and Woods families of Bucklesberry, Lenoir County, N.C. Also mentioned are numerous slave births as early as 1776. Deeds in Bucklesberry pertain primarily to property belonging to the Sutton family. Land surveys (mid to late 1700s) pertain to Giles and Sutton property in Craven and Dobbs counties. Includes receipts for taxes, store accounts, and tuition payments for private schools in Lenoir County. Other items include pages documenting the weight and price of slaughtered hogs, indenture of apprenticeship of an orphan, directions for taking medicine, and note from 1780 concerning the writer getting drafted. |
