While the paradigm of circular economy and principles of closing the material loop are emerging and getting more common in the textile and fashion sector more information how to do this in practice is needed. This publication describes design strategies and principles, technical possibilities and limitations, it identifies recyclable materials, shows how robotics could be used for waste identification and provides other information needed for recycling. It also explains the product lifetime management, which is needed in the circular economy context.
