Abstract "The paradigm of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) refers to a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) that focuses on machine learning models that can generate new and original content, such as text, images, videos, music, or even applications. Unlike traditional/discriminative AI systems typically aims to perform specific tasks, such as classification or prediction, GenAI aims to produce new content/knowledge that resembles the training data it was exposed to. Recently, GenAI has achieved remarkable success in generating realistic images, such as faces, landscapes, objects, and even videos and training data for numerous applications. Generative AI has thus been leveraged in various areas, e.g., in industry, education, entertainment. Within the communications and networking industry, GenAI has been considered as an enabler of the future systems across the PHY, MAC, NET, Application layers"-- Provided by publisher.
