Abstract "The Aedes aegypti mosquito is a recognized vector for dengue, chikungunya, and Zika arboviruses, and has had a significant dispersion in recent years across the southern hemisphere. It is a known nuisance species in the United States and is believed to have been brought to the new world on ships used for European exploration and colonization. In recent years, the use of entomopathogenic fungi has proven a promising tool for the biocontrol of Culicides that threaten public health. As such, the authors systematically review studies that evaluated the main entomopathogenic genera used in the biological control of these vectors"-- Provided by publisher.
