Abstract "This compilation is the result of the verbatim transcription of the discussions that took place on Zoom in March 2024, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of A Contracorriente: a journal of Latin American studies. These discussions featured four prominent Latin American writers, Pola Oloixarac (Argentina), Jorge Volpi (Mexico), Patricio Pron (Argentina), and Nona Fernández (Chile); their interlocutors were critics Ariel Schettini, Héctor Jaimes, Greg Dawes, and María Rosa Olivera-Williams, respectively. The reflections generated from these dialogues explore the ways in which literature serves as a tool of resistance against contemporary neoliberalism"-- Provided by publisher.
