Escrituras sin rosotro: El antagonismo como estrategia subversiva del zapatismo examines the concept of antagonism in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries by reading a large corpus of hybrid texts that includes political statements, slogans, and manifestos written by Zapatistas and feminist Mexican writers. This book challenges the notion of hegemony and representation. It reflects on collectivity and resistance by focusing on the notion of authorship. Divided into five parts - "Faceless Writing", "Enough is Enough!", "Rebellious Dignity"; "From We are all Marcos to MeTooMx", "Castrated Writing" - this study shows the evolution of dissent and how social movements inform and shape literature. Zapatistas showed that there is no political demand without writing, and without humility there is no rebellious dignity.
