Summary This guidebook presents the itinerary, activities, relevant research information, and geologic context for the 2024 Ronald E. Seavoy Student Field Trip in the Quadrilátero Ferrifero and Brasilia Belt of Brazil, which took place June 1st through 9th, 2024. Participants visited several mines in these heavily mineralized metallogenic regions, including Pilar mine, Cuiabá gold mine, and Morro do Ouro gold mine, to name a few. A major objective of this field trip was to impress upon students the importance of developing a comprehensive understanding of a deposit's mineralogy to carry workers through all stages of a mine project.
