Abstract "This manuscript is about how small states pursue their security in a world of power asymmetries and a shifting international order. While small states are defined as weaker actors in the international system, today's changing world also provides them with opportunities and more agency in terms of their foreign policies, particularly within their regions. The international group of contributors to this volume show that small states' foreign policies go beyond traditional explanations of band-wagoning with, or balancing against, great powers. The countries examined include the Baltic states, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ghana, Jordan, Nepal, Senegal, and Sweden"-- Provided by publisher.
