| Abstract | "With the advancement of nanotechnology, nanoscale materials usage in industrial applications has been exponentially increasing which triggers the release of nanomaterials into the environment deliberately or accidentally. Apparently, these materials tend to absorb by plants which are the primary producers in most trophic levels. Nanomaterials can influence on plant metabolisms causing positive effects improving the plant growth and development or negative effects such as phytotoxicity. These impacts are dependent on the properties of nanoparticles, mode of interaction and concentration as well as the environmental conditions. Therefore, understanding the nanoscale technologies in plant sciences along with fundamentals behind the behaviour of nanoscale materials is timely important"-- Provided by publisher. |
