Local noteJoyner Rare copy: Stevenson and other illegible names written multiple times on front flyleaf. Two calling cards from "Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell White" tucked into front cover, writing on the cards from J. C. and Elizabeth White to Lillian (presumably a relative) attribute the writing and prior ownership of the book to Lillian's great great grandfather Stevenson White.
General noteSometimes ascribed to Cassius Longinus (ca. 213-273), a mistaken attribution corrected by Kaibel and Keil.
