| Abstract | This collection contains one-of-a-kind woven bookmarks created by former East Carolina University School of Art and Design faculty member Catherine Billingsley. The bookmark designs were inspired by specific Southern literary works. The collection also includes clipping files related to Southern writers, a caricature drawing of Fred Chappell, poetry, and information collected about literary events and writers. There is a document in the collection that explains the technique called "name draft" that Billingsley used to make the bookmarks. |
