| Abstract | Just when Captain Don Harr and the crew of the SSMC Reluctant think that they are free and clear of military rule, a group of self-proclaimed uber-intelligent beings who call themselves The Overseers show up. The Overseers, like most anyone who gets to the top of the ladder, want to make certain that no upstart can ever challenge their position. Thus, anyone who is deemed a threat dies. But a new political group has had it with all the butchery, so the ruling class has to try a new angle. To this end, they conscript the members of Platoon F into service and set them on a sabotage mission against a planet called Kallian, which is on the brink of discovering warp technology.
