| Abstract | "Works are listed in the catalog in alphabetical order by fellowship recipient. Collaborative projects, in which a composer and a librettist each received a fellowship to complete a joint project are given duplicate entries in the catalog. Works which were translated under the composer/librettist/translator program (discontinued after 1975) are listed in the catalog under the translator, and the composer and librettist of the original work are cross-referenced in the index. Basic biographical information has been provided by the recipient, or has been compiled from standard reference sources whenever needed. ... The description of each work is taken from the score, libretto, and/or recording in the Collection."--Page xi. |
| General note | Includes index. |
| General note | "This collection contains more than 350 works completed as of March 15, 1979. At the conclusion of the fellowship period a final report, which includes a copy of the completed work, is reviewed by The Endowment and sent to the Collection at AMC. Also included are recordings, if possible, documents relating to the performance of these works, and biographical information. These materials may be browsed by performers, conductors, and other interested musicians."--Page ix. |
