520 3 a| This study had three primary aims, the first of which was to create and evaluate a novel measure of telework based on the conceptualization of Kossek, Lautsch, & Eaton, (2006). Subsequently, this study produced the Psychological Job Control Measure of Telework which had three factors: the ability to control (1) where, (2) when, and (3) how one telecommutes. The second aim of this study was to test telework's influence on the variables of interest: work-life balance, proactive personality, burnout, and withholding effort. Overall, telework moderated the relationship between work-life balance and burnout; as well as the relationship between work-life balance and withholding effort. Similarly, telework moderated the relationship between proactive personality and turnover intentions. The third aim was to use qualitative methods to further contextualize the quantitative findings. With this, more context for these relationships was derived (e.g., the necessity of boundary management, attitudes toward transitioning to telework, positive sentiments toward telework). Overall, this study provided qualitative context to the relationships found between the variables, which helps bridge the gap of qualitative research in Industrial-Organizational Psychology research.;
