Summary Log of several trading voyages out of Beverly, Mass. kept by George Stevens from 1768-74, including voyages commanded by him to Sable Island (N.S.) and return (2-7 March, [14]-17 May 1769); to the Dominican Republic in the schooner DRAGON (11-18 March 1769); and in the schooner KING GEORGE to Madeira and return (29 March - 6 May 1769). Also, logs of voyages commanded by George Gallop in the schooner SPEEDWELL from the Dominican Republic to Beverly (1769); by John Brown in the schooner TYGER to Cape Henry (Va.) and return (1768-69); by John Lovett in the schooner VOLANT to Sable Island and Cape Henry and returns (1769); by Josiah Ober in the schooner LARK to Cape Henry (1770); and by Jonathan Larcom in the schooner BENJAMIN to Antigua and return from St. Eustatius (1773-74). The vol. also contains entries (some partial) on misc. local voyages; accounts; and rules of navigation and geometry.
