Local noteJoyner Rare copy includes armorial bookplate featuring a griffin holding a lantern in its beak over a crest with three lanterns surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and acorns with a banner and poppy flower underneath with the latin phrase "Humani Nihil Allenum Mihi" translated to "I am human; nothing human is alien to me" The owner of the plate or family associated with the crest is unidentified and the phrase comes from the Roman playwright Terence's play Heauton Timorumenos.
