General note"It is peculiarly pleasing, to learn from various sources, that Mr. Judson's letter ... is exciting a deep interest in the subject to which it relates in all parts of the country. A few pious females, in Philadelphia, viewed its contents of such importance as to procure the publication of 5,000 copies for distribution. The effect of this was, immediate arrangements were made for the printing of 15,000 copies, in a neat duodecimo form of 8 pages and covered. We hope their Christian sisters will go and do likewise.--N.H. Observer."--p. [1].
