The inutility of virtue : a tale of lust and licentiousness, exemplified in the history of a young and beautiful lady modest and virtuous, who, by a series of unfortunate circumstances, is first ravished by a robber, then becomes successively the victim of lust and sensuality : till overpowered by debauchery, her passions become predominant her mind remaining pure, while her body is contaminated : the whole richly and beautifully narrated, showing the triumphs of vice and the degredation of virtue.
