"Currently there are limited books available which analyse the context, theory and practice of nursing children and young people with long term conditions. This second edition provides a comprehensive and fully updated resource for nursing students and post-registration children's nurses on assessing health needs and delivering care and services holistically within and across a variety of care settings in order to meet the changing needs of children and young people with long term conditions and their families. Although each chapter can be read independently, the book is designed to provide a comprehensive insight into the changing healthcare needs of children and young people with long term conditions and the implications for delivering nursing care and services to children and young people of several age groups, cultural backgrounds, with differing conditions and in a variety of care settings.
