Most of the articles included in this volume originate from papers delivered at the international conference that the editor organized at Harvard University, Cambridge (MA) on April 7-8, 2006, entitled Music, Poetry and Patronage in Late Renaissance Italy: Luca Marenzio and the Madrigal. This meeting was conceived as a pair to the one held in Rome the previous year, on September 9-10, entitled Luca Marenzio e il madrigale romano. |
