D. degree from New York University School of Law. She also earned a certificate in negotiation from Harvard University. She practiced law in Los Angeles and began her media career as a writer and producer for HBO. She became president and CEO of the Black Education Network. The company's mission was to create programming the represents African-American perspectives. Clark was also president of United Image Entertainment, and vice president of the Black Family Channel. She was a senior consultant for Griffin & Strong, P.C. and served as project manager for several disparity studies and goal setting initiatives, including one for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Jenkins is the co-author and editor of Sisters in Faith Bible (2013).;
