| General note | "This book is a record of the proceedings of the Quarterly Conference of the Holston Conference, Swannanoa Circuit from March 1879 till December 1886 and the Cane Creek Conference from January 1887 to Sept 25, 1897. EAch meeting consists of the date, a list of the attendees and answers to a series of questions. They used a list of some 26 questions but they did not answer every question every time. In fact, it appears that some questions were never asked. Perhaps they did not apply to this situation. The notes do not always contain punctuation. Where it helps we have added punctuation.
