Summary The Srednogorie metallogenic zone in Bulgaria is part of the global Tethyan-Eurasian copper belt. The Panagyuirishte ore region, the most important element of the Srednogorie metallogenic zone, contains characteristic calc-alkaline magmatism that hosts Bulgaria's most important economic porphyry and epithermal ore deposits. This Guidebook was prepared for the Society of Economic Geologists field trip in Bulgaria 30th August to 1st September 2003.
