Abstract Myofascial Release Techniques provides an overview of various myofascial release, manual therapy techniques. The video looks at working definitions for both myofascial pain syndrome (MFPS), and myofascial trigger points (MFTrP), as well as the key factors involved in making a differential diagnosis between MFPS, MFTrP and non-MFP. In the lab demonstration phase, the video explains and shows how to perform several useful techniques for dealing with MFPS and MFTrP, including press and stretch, longitudinal release, wringing, and stripping. The video also details several ways to decrease occurrence of MFPS.
