| Abstract | Electrotherapy for Pain Relief looks at the value in using electrotherapy for pain relief. The DVD presents a brief overview of research findings concerning the use of trancutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). The DVD also provides an overview of the transdermal drug delivery system known as iontophoresis, which delivers drug ions through the skin, using an electric current. In addition, the DVD includes a discussion of the gate control theory of pain. |
