Abstract |
While the media debate the pros and cons of the academy initiative, the front line of the management team of Capital City Academy in north London are more concerned with the practicalities of turning the vision into a reality. This documentary tells the story of the launch of the Academy and looks at where they are now and where they want to be. Sponsor Sir Frank Lowe has overseen the building of a radical new Norman Foster building to house the school. He is determined to create new opportunities for students in Willesden, north London. The principal Philip O Hear has been in the post for just a few months. He is proud of the new facilities but the pressure is on to make the most of the investment and begin to deliver results. |
