Abstract A middle-aged woman demonstrates negative symptoms of a very flat affect and very restrictive movement. She also demonstrates a positive symptom of having a thought-insertion delusion, believing a previous therapist is inserting thoughts into her thinking. Having both positive and negative symptoms qualify her for a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
