Abstract Features rare archival performances both as an opera singer and an interpreter of traditional spirituals and operetta and interviews with his widow Nora London, former colleagues, experts, and current stars of the opera scene, including Neil Shicoff, Catherine Malfitano, and Deborah Polaski. Bonus feature: More than 90 minutes of previously unreleased archival footage from opera performances and concerts featuring George London as Figaro, Don Giovanni, Boris Bodunov, Wotan (in Wagner's "Das Rheingold"), Scarpia (duet with Maria Callas in Puccini's "Tosca"), Mephisto (in Gounod's "Faust") and Iago (in Verdi's "Otello").
