||Description: History of the Portuguese in Africa and India. Volume 2 opens with the 1506 voyage of Tristão da Cunha and Afonso de Albuquerque to Africa and India. The volume also covers Albuquerque's final capture of Ormuz in 1515, Fernando Gomes de Lemos embassy to Xeque Ismael, King of Persia, Garcia de Noronha being sent on a mission by Albuquerque, and ultimately Albuquerque's death while returning to Goa.
