| Summary | Annotation If science frames our lives, how should we relate to it? Steve Fuller's lively and provocative book explores what it might mean to live "scientifically." Can science give a sense of completeness to one's life? Can it account for all that it means to be human? And does science add value to anything one does in life? In exploring these questions, Fuller argues that science is undergoing its own version of secularisation. It is not that people are losing their faith in science but that they are no longer willing to conform to a specific orthodoxy upheld by a specially anointed class of "science priests." In a sense, says Fuller, we are now all scientists.
