| Abstract | The author was a specialist in producing variety shows and musical plays with patients and clients focusing on personal development and work readiness skill building. She developed a community musical theatre company for adults with psychiatric disorders. This resulted in an innovative community psychosocial program using the visual and performing arts and adult education in a curriculum to prepare students with psychiatric disorders for re-entry into the community, and to educate the public about mental illness. |
