Abstract A lengthy publication of 80 or 90 pages which lasted only one-and-a-half years, this magazine depended on material from other sources. Poetry, fiction, book reviews, travelogues, and biographies filled the many pages along with articles on the history, buildings and roads of Ohio. Noted authors whose writings were included were James Fenimore Cooper, Rousseau and William Henry Harrison. The periodical also made use of the slender output of literature of "the frontier."
