Whether discussing Violetta, Don Giovanni, Mimi, Wotan, Carmen, or others, their nuances of interpretation are fascinating. The late James McCracken gives an especially moving account of his commitment to the role of Otello. Fans of live Met radio broadcasts will delight in these reminiscences.
