Abstract These role-play demonstrations illustrate how to implement the principles of reality therapy summarized by the acronym WDEP. The demonstrations also show how choice theory integrates with reality therapy. The viewers can benefit from these sessions by discussing their content and asking themselves what components of choice theory and reality therapy are illustrated in the various dialogues. Because the demonstrations do not constitute the only way to practice reality therapy, viewers can learn additional techniques and skills by discussing what they would do differently to implement choice theory through the practice of reality therapy. 1st Role-Play: Sarah, college student, drug usage, parties & grades. 2nd Role-Play: Joe, 19 year old, resident in 90-day recovery program. 3rd Role-Play: Julie, 15 year old student, referred to counselor by teachers.
