Together with an explanation of the general laws, by which the animal economy is governed: and particularly, the mode whereby the operations of the vis Medicatrix naturae, or the unassisted powers of nature, are exerted to obviate and cure disease. Also, successful methods of curing cancerous ulcers, the quartan ague, putrid fevers, stopping mortifications, and extracting frost, so as to leave the frozen member perfectly well.
