Contents Savage brutality -- At a Court of Oyer and Terminer, held in Sussex County last week, at which Judge Pennington presided, Cornelius A. Cole and Mary Cole, his wife, were tried for the murder of Agnes Teaurs. Mary Cole was convicted, but her husband, Cornelius A Cole, was acquitted of the murder -- The following journal and confession was taken by a person who attended Mary Cole while in prison, and to the place of execution, and may be relied on as correct.
