Resolved unanimously, that this meeting concer in the nomination made by a majority of the Republican members of the Legislature, of Daniel D. Tompkins for the office of governor, and John Broome for lieutenant-governor ... that John Tayler be supported as a candidate for the office of senator, for the eastern district.
