General noteThe American Antiquarian Society has two copies with variant frontispieces and wrappers. In one, the frontispiece depicts a nature scene with birds; cover imprint continues "at whose new brick store, in Church-Street ..." In the other, the frontispiece depicts a man in a chair, reading a book; the cover imprint continues "book-seller, stationer, and printer." The first variant has a bookseller's advertisement on p. [4] of wrapper; the copy in hand of the second variant lacks p. [3-4] of wrapper.
