General noteApparently calculated by Joshua Sharp. The calendar page calculations are the same as those in Father Tammany's almanac for 1799 (Philadelphia) by Sharp, except for being fewer in number, and with some slight adjustments for the difference in meridian. The astronomical notes on the calendar pages are also the same, except for being fewer, but include some others not found in Father Tammany. The eclipse predictions (p. [28]) are Sharp's.
General noteAdvertised in the Lancaster journal, Nov. 10, 1798, as "just published by Henry & Benjamin Grimler." The cut of the Anatomy and the typography of the calendar pages are those used in the 1798 issue printed by the Grimlers at Shippensburg.
General noteThe Anatomy is the only illustration.
