State of New-Hampshire : Whereas by a general change of circumstances, in the several places in this state paying taxes, the last proportion is become unequal, and a new one is necessary. Therefore voted, that the selectmen or the major part of them ... shall take an inventory of the rateable estates of the towns, parishes, or places following.
