This court taking into serious consideration the frequent and just complaints of the great charge that ariseth yearly to the citizens of this city, by reason of the extravagant expences at the meeting of their wardmote-inquests, in eating and drinking, and also sending abroad wine and ale ot the inhabitants of the several wards.
