General noteThree verse satires attacking Walpole's excise bill, printed in 4 columns: col. 1 is Britannia excisa ("Folks talk of supplies..."), sometimes attributed to William Pulteney; col. 2-3 are headed by 3 woodcuts, then Britannia excisa. Part II ("Ye knaves and ye fools..."); col. 4 is Excise congress ("All good Christian people...") which was earlier published as Congress of excise asses; the first two verses were published separately as well as in The Lords protests in the late session of Parliament ... 1733.
