At a meeting of the corporation of the city of Burlington, August 30th, 1793, the following recommendations to the citizens was unanimously agreed to : Whereas there is great reason for caution against the malignant fever or contagious disorder, which prevails in Philadelphia, and it is our duty to use every probable means to prevent the same in the city of Burlington ... the corporation ... recommends.
