Series Dramatic works of William Shakespeare
Shakespeare, William, 1564-1616. Plays (Time-Life Video) UNAUTHORIZED
Abstract Historical drama in which the interactions between supporting players reveal the king's weakness as a ruler. Shakespeare was not enthusiastic about the King, and shows his wickedness and weakness at the same time as raising Faulconbridge, the bastard, from swaggerer to clear-eyed champion of England. The play is also well known for the way Shakespeare humanizes his characters, with scenes that exhibit them under emotional stress.
General noteSeries of Shakespeare's complete plays, originally produced for BBC Television.
