520 3 a| This report describes the activities of an estimated 10,600 DoD personnel, both military and civilian, in Operation TUMBLER-SNAPPER, the third nuclear weapons testing series conducted at the Nevada Proving Ground. TUMBLER-SNAPPER consisted of eight nuclear tests conducted from 1 April to 5 June 1952. Activities engaging DoD personnel included Exercise Desert Rock IV programs, scientific experiments, and DoD support activities. Radiological safety criteria and procedures were established and implemented during Operation TUMBLER-SNAPPER to minimize participants' exposure to radioactivity.;
