Summary |
The aim of this thesis is to examine the life and career of Alcibiades up to his appointment as Strategos in 420-419 B.C. This study examines the ancestry, education, character and cultural background of Alcibiades. The insights gained from this analysis are applied to a statement of his early political orientations. The study finds Alcibiades to be more an expression of his age than an exception to it. |
