Abstract Alfred C. Kinsey was born on August 23, 1894, in Hoboken, New Jersey. He taught Zoology and Biology at Indiana University. He went to college at Harvard University and wrote a textbook on biology. His specialty was the naming, describing and classification of insects. He later did a study on sexual behavior of the male and female and worked at the Sex Research Institute, Incorporated at Indiana University. He died on August 25, 1956, at Bloomington, Indiana.
