Summary This project was undertaken with the goal of improving our ability to predict the changes in urban ozone resulting from the widespread use of alternative fuels in automobiles. This report presents the results in detail. It is clear that no single approach is adequate for determining the potential atmospheric benefits of alternative fuel use: both experimental and modeling studies are needed. In addition, fundamental advances are needed to improve scientific understanding of reactivity.
