Biographical note"John Greenway: A.B., M.A., Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Greenway joined the faculty of the University of Colorado (Boulder) in 1957 and is now Professor of Anthropology there. Among his major publications are Down Among the Wild Men: the Narrative Journal of Fifteen Years Pursuing the Old Stone Age Aborigines of Australia's Western Desert, 1972, Atlantic-Little, Brown; and Australia: The Last Frontier, 1972, Dodd, Mead and Company. Well-known as a folksinger, he has made ten record albums of folk songs. In addition to writing numerous articles and reviews, Dr. Greenway photographed, wrote, edited, and produced a motion picture entitled At the Edge of the Old Stone Age."--Back cover.
